The socially conscious investor will find a broad array of Eco-friendly stocks and mutual funds to select from, both small and large. Green Energy Penny Stocks

Article by Brian Krassenstein

The “Penny Stocks Expert” newsletter arrived in my inbox this morning bearing the intriguing subject line, “Our first energy pick of the year – This one is hot!” Since I have a keen interest in the development of green/earth-friendly energy technologies, I dove eagerly into the email hoping that it would be introducing a way to invest in some new cutting edge stocks. To my disappointment, however, the excitement is centered on more oil and gas exploration and development. Not to be deterred, I did a quick web search hoping to find a guide to penny stocks invested in alternative energy and discovered a site called “Bionomic Fuel.com.” The opinion of the site is that alternative energy investing through penny stocks is extremely high risk at this point in time, since the companies involved, in general, have neither enough financial history, nor enough information on current company stability, for even experienced investors to make informed decisions. However, the site does offer a wide variety of articles on a diverse number of energy alternatives that are in research or development.Being a dreamer, I headed quickly to the article, “Energy of Stars,” (the ones in the heavens, not the ones in Hollywood), only to find that this is still an entirely futuristic concept, and possibly a dangerous idea, since star energy is nuclear based. Still there are many other intriguing articles such as, “Biofuel from Algae: Can I Farm It at Home?”and “What Are The Most Promising New Generation Biofuels? (corn husks – which could solve the problem of land use for food vs fuel production)”Other topics such as solar and wind energy systems are also explored. So until these new ventures become more established, I suppose I’ll have to keep seeking more conservative forms of investment than the exciting field of Penny Stocks. But I’m positive that as fossil fuels continue to become scarce or too environmentally risky to ignore the alternatives, the increase in the development of solid companies working with new technologies will expand and improve the terrain of investment options.
